Reflection

I was learning about reflection.  I know that reflection is putting shapes and patterns in front of a mirror, and putting it on the other side.   It is the same as flipping.

I was learning about similes.  I know that we describe using our senses, and we compare two things using like or as.  It was tricky because it hard to think of things to compare.

I am learning about  making inferences.  Inferences are about using clues by looking at the pictures and the words.

Making a word plan

Reflection

I was learning to make a word plan.

I know that a word plan has a topic and 3 or 4 ideas.I 

learnt that I can use a word plan to help me with with my writing.

This is tricky for me because there are so many words for me to write.

Multiplying in 2s

Reflection
We are learning about multiplication. We learnt that we can do skip
counting to make our counting faster. We know how to skip count in 2s 5s and 10s.

Prefixes and suffixes

Reflection
I was learning about prefixes and suffixes.  Now I know that a prefix goes at the beginning of the word, and a suffix at the end of a word.  It was tricky to remember which one was which.

Summarising the main idea

Reflection

We were learning to summarise.  We learnt that summarising could be about saying who, where and when.  Summarising is saying the story in short.  It is talking about the beginning, middle and end.

Reflection

I have been learning about statistics.  I made bar graphs, pictographs, a pie graph and tally charts.  
We know about the steps for statistics.

Blends

Reflection 

We are learning about beginning blends in word.  I know blends have 2 sound  like st, tr, br. This is easy for me because I read hard books at home.
